Why aren't you surfing?
If you're reading this something went wrong for you today... the surf has to be perfect all over the island. Clear blue sky, no wind, 6 foot 15 sec swell, perfect perfect surf. I shouldn't be talking as here I sit in my office getting ready for a big board meeting. I do hope you all found that perfect wave today. I am living through you.

Almost there
So this surf blog has turned into a bit of a life update blog for me, but oh well I am writing it for fun afterall. I finished the first draft of the bplan after a week farting the ideas out of my head. The programmers rocked this week and got tons of the prototype done.. yeh! Feb 1st is getting closer and I can smell the water and waves waiting for my pale, flabby body to get back in the water. One big push today and tomorrow for a Board meeting I have to run as part of my "other" job. Yes I have another almost full time job on top of this startup thingy.

Cheney don't Surf...
Not getting into politics too much, but how can you not when the Supreme Court is about to tilt waaay to the right. Arghhh. Makes me sad. Even sadder than not surfing for the month. Development is going well and we are getting closer to a prototype. I was even able to make a sales presentation today for an early adopter. Things are good. Surf.. looks like a nice day with lighter winds in town and probably good surf all around. Now on to today surf/bikini platter for you all. For you video heads you might like this collection of sexy youtube videos.
JC might surf . . .

Voting day two
Hello world.. that was the first email sent out by our new system last night. It seems pretty simple, but it was a major breakthrough for our prototype team working on the new framework. What does this have to do with surfing? Not much except I am one day closer to my Feb surf date. Looks like voting for waves or ladies is pretty close so far. Mr. Hughes asked for more information before making his decision... so here are additional data points.

Rainy days
Not much surf to chat about today as it is rainy and wet everywhere today. When I lived in California, there was no way you could surf after a big rain. The nasty runoff was terrible and people were getting sick. At least here we just have to worry about stuff coming out the Ala Wai, but can still find clean water other places. I think there's swell somewhere, but probably a bit messy with the storm so close. Feb 1st is just around the corner and I am hoping to get back out there! A whole lot of pictures today of waves and babes... you get to vote. Oh yeh, check out the little poll I put up on the sidebar.. just for fun of course.

The light the light
Now that the home renovations are almost to the point of making the house livable, my new startup has moved in temporarily. This is classic dotcom days all over again with two engineers working downstairs and one living in my office/second bedroom. I love it.... working to the week hours of the night and making shit happen. We are getting ready to launch our prototype late Jan and I have decided to not surf until the prototype is done devoting 100% of my time to making a go at it. So I have to live vicariously through the gang over at 808surf and other online resources to quench the need. Get out there and get some for me! In the meantime more pics from my perusing..

Surf somewhere
There's surf around the island if you are up and about getting some. Ppoint was supposed to be really good yesterday and I am sure the wrap is making its way into town. Looks like swells are lined up the next week or so.
The light is getting brighter at the end of my home renovations tunnel. Today we paint the newly mudded walls and try to get our furniture and kitchen gear back to the house. After that it will be mainly small finishing stuff and waiting for the countertops. Wish I had pictures to share, but I lost my digital camera. Need to wait for my father in-law to email me some pics he took along the way. In the meantime to satiate Mr. Hughes request for visual stimulation I offer up these...

Almost home
Surf report from Home Depot. Slight offshore winds with build swell in the plumbing aisle. Glassy smooth around painter's point with minimal crowds lumbering around. Yeh, yeh, another day at Home Depot this morning for my dawn patrol. Amazing how quiet things are that time of day, I was in and out quickly and back to running errands. Dropping of rental tools, borrowed tools, etc. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can see Feb surf around the corner.

Surf in town
Heard surf was good in town yesterday with great conditions at Queens and even better conditions late in the day at DH. Lots of guys were getting long walls and coverups. The home renovation is coming along. Got all the wood laminate floors in yesterday and cabinets set. A little nerve racking situation with the countertop guy measuring the space, but we are going to bail on Home Depot and find a local crew to help us with the countertops. Appliances arrive on Friday, then most of the work will be done. From that point on, we just have to do cleanup stuff like paint the walls, trim, some dryboard work on the roof, and dust the entire upstairs. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.. almost like getting in a little barrel.. I think I am gonna make it out of this one.
Saw this posting for pancake mix online this morning:
Pancake Point
Way to easy to make these from scratch vs. that Krusteaz shit. And always a hit with her after a good F.
2 C. All Purpose flour
1 Tb. baking powder
.5 ts salt - you gots to add it for chemical reasons
1 ts-1Tb sugar - i use about 1.5ts.
2 eggs - you can pull it with 1
1.5 - 2 C Milk.
2 Tb. melted butter - then cooled
*Substitue what ever flour, sugar, or milk you desire. *if using yogurt
or buttermilk use .5ts of baking soda instead of baking powder.
Mix together all the dry indgredients. Beat the eggs into 1.5 C of the milk. then stir in the melted-cool butter (if using)
Here's the locals only tip; Gently stir into the dry ingredients, just enough to get all the flour moist, lumps are fine.
if the batter is thick thin it out with some milk.
throw down some butter in a pre-heated medium tempature pan. get hot. drop in batter to desired size(i go big) and enjoy.

Mr. Hughes Keeps asking for pictures like these...
