Windy at threes
Headed out to 3's after the HCA conference today at the Hilton Hawaiian. Mark and Mike were out also. I rode the 8' Munoz. Windy and inconsistent with just a touch of a pulse showing up. Nothing special, but a great chance to get in the water after an all day conference. Looked like Bowls was starting to light up. Another S swell that just never appeared. We did get our tickets to Blue Horizon (see post below)... looking forward to a Thurs night at the movies.

Creative Surfing
When the waves and conditions are rough, it is time to get creative in your surfing. It was calm last night, so I figured DH might be ok this morning early. I met Brian out there around 6:30, but the winds were already strong sideshore. I commented that it takes conditions like today to make us realize how good we have it here in Hawaii. I remember just a little over a year ago when I was still surfing in San Francisco, conditions like today was considered a great day in the water. Conditions in the Bay Area is punctuated by stiff onshore winds, sloppy windswell, and cold fog. I still am amazed by how nice it is to surf in warm water, sunny skies and rideable waves almost everyday.
So I hope you are having a great day and remember how lucky we are to live in paradise. Aloha.

the s-spot | Mumblings and Musings
the s-spot | Mumblings and Musings is an interesting surf journal in Honolulu Hawaii that I stumbled on. They even made a small posting about my humble little site.
Short evening session at Queens tonight on the Model T. Nice evening for a paddle and some fun noseriding. It was a beautiful afternoon, light winds, warm water and lots of smiles in the water.

CISF month
Took the CISF out for a spin at DH. Same conditions.. sideshore windy and choppy, but one or two fun rides for sure. Waiting for that S swell to arrive Monday.

Picture Day
Not a picture perfect day at DH, but better than what the niceness tribe is experiencing at OB. Good to get out on the CISF for a spin.. a couple fun rides and a couple washing machine spins. Quick and utility for sure. Stiff sideshore was showing itself around 6:30 a.m. already. Good day for pics...

not much
Quick afternoon session with Mark and his buddy Chris. The SW swell never came in today. The tide was pretty high so not much happening. We headed out on our longboards, I rode the Martinson. Paddled out to Kaisers, then back to Rockpiles. Just good to be alive and out in the water!
